Even though I have always loved Fall and the brilliant colors of the leaves, Spring is the renewal of life. Today I took some pics of the first flowers of Spring in my yard. The following poem from Rod McKuen was on my desk for years: 
"Trees are monuments to God, cities monuments to man. I need to meet my God again among the trees and ferns. There is too much of me in my life and not enough of Him."

that tulip is awesome! i wonder if my 3 will come up this year. i noticed the leaves were out already, but no sign a bloom is coming... again!
